The Business Audio System makes a great message on hold player without network connectivity. Audio from a USB drive plays continuously. NOTE: When using USB drive for the audio source, the device supports only one audio content channel.

This network-friendly music on hold player communicates exclusively over outbound HTTPS (port 443) for audio streaming and system health checks, avoiding any need for open inbound ports. The device also uses secure NTP (UDP 123) for time synchronization and supports DHCP or static IP configurations, with clearly documented IP and DNS requirements. It can even operate behind firewalls with whitelisting support for specific domains like *.easyonholdcloud.com.
Designed with IT best practices in mind, the system avoids any unnecessary background services, does not open inbound ports, and provides clear diagnostic displays including MAC address, IP status, and network error statistics.
Optional support for RTP multicast streaming is available for enterprise Cisco® CUCM deployments. With low data usage (approximately 0.025 GB/hr at 128Kbps), automatic failover to onboard content, and no reliance on browser-based interfaces, this streaming music player delivers reliable performance without introducing complexity or security risk to your infrastructure.
