Streaming Music On Hold for X-Blue
Bring live, licensed music and messages to an X-Blue on-site phone system through its external hold-music input.
X-Blue Hold Music and Messages with Easy On Hold®
An X-Blue X16 Plus can use an external audio player for Music on Hold. Easy On Hold's 2-Channel Business Audio System (2CBAS) receives your live music and message stream over the network and sends the audio through the X-Blue system's external music input.
This gives an on-site X-Blue system a changing program of licensed music and custom announcements. Your team manages individual topics and schedules in the Easy On Hold Content Control Center™, so routine updates do not require replacing an audio file on the phone system.
The diagram shows the physical connection: Ethernet to the 2CBAS, its Channel 1 line output to the supplied RCA cable and adapter, and the 3.5 mm plug to the X-Blue Music on Hold input. Select External as the music source in X-Blue programming before testing a call.

The X16 Plus receives audio through its external Music on Hold input. The Easy On Hold 2CBAS receives the live stream over the network and outputs audio to that input.
Set the X16 Music Source to External so the phone system plays audio from the connected input rather than its internal hold-music source.
Authorized users manage message topics and schedules in the Easy On Hold Content Control Center. The 2CBAS continues playing the live program, so routine changes do not require reconnecting the audio cable.
