TPx Streaming Music On Hold
Give callers a continuous mix of music and messages, with content you control and schedules that keep it current.
Keep Your TPx On-Hold Experience Current
Easy On Hold® helps TPx customers replace repetitive default hold music with a live stream of licensed music and professionally produced messages. For supported TPx services built on Cisco BroadSoft BroadWorks, our SIP-based audio source connects through the platform’s external music-on-hold configuration. We work with the team administering your TPx service to establish the connection and test it before launch.
Your callers join a continuously running program at its current point. Your team manages the music, messages and schedules through the Easy On Hold Creative Content Center, so keeping the program fresh becomes part of your communications plan.
- Replace the short default loop with a varied, continuous audio program.
- Choose licensed music that fits your organization and audience.
- Share helpful answers, service updates and timely promotions while callers wait.
- Update the live program in the portal without uploading replacement hold files.

How the TPx Streaming Integration Works
Manage content in the Creative Content Center. Easy On Hold delivers the live program through a SIP source, and your TPx BroadWorks service connects callers to that source during configured hold experiences.
Review Your TPx Service
Tell us which TPx service you use and where callers should hear the program. We coordinate with your service administrator to confirm the supported BroadWorks configuration and the hold or park paths to test.
Exchange SIP Information
Easy On Hold supplies the Line/Port ID for the streaming source. Your service administrator supplies the SIP Server Domain Name and any required proxy or authentication details, following the setup guide.
Configure the External Music Source
The administrator creates an Identity/Device Profile using Generic SIP Music On Hold, then selects that profile as the External Source in Music/Video on Hold. The supplied Line/Port ID and the audio settings are entered for the deployment.
Confirm Registration and Test Calls
Notify Easy On Hold when configuration is ready. We confirm registration and help verify the audio on the agreed caller paths. Test hold, park and any other enabled paths before making the program live.
Keep Content Current in the Portal
Choose music and manage messages in the Creative Content Center. Schedule announcements to start and stop when needed while the configured SIP connection continues delivering your live program.
Provider-managed settings may require your TPx service administrator. Queue, park and other audio assignments should be reviewed for your specific service.
More Control for Marketing
Use hold time to help callers prepare for the conversation ahead. Your program can explain services, answer common questions and communicate changes before an employee picks up.
- Plan holiday hours and seasonal announcements in advance.
- Give current promotions and service information a place in the program.
- Choose music and voices that reflect your brand.
Less Recurring Work for IT
After the SIP connection is established, your content team can maintain the live program through the portal. Routine music and message changes no longer depend on someone replacing an audio file in the phone platform.
- Configure and test the supported external music source once.
- Keep content updates with the people responsible for the message.
- Coordinate installation and troubleshooting with Easy On Hold.
