How to Set Up an Easy On Hold® Streaming Music Service in OnSIP

You can integrate Easy On Hold® licensed music streams into OnSIP’s Enhanced Music on Hold (EMOH) to replace default elevator, jazz, or classical music with fresh, engaging audio.

Enable Enhanced Music on Hold in OnSIP

Log in to your OnSIP Admin Panel. Go to Inbound Call Settings > Music on Hold. Check the box for Enhanced Music on Hold (this is a paid feature, typically ~$19.95–$20/month). Increase the number of channels if needed to allow more callers to hear music at once.

Get Your Easy On Hold® Stream URL

Contact Easy On Hold® support and request a custom music stream URL. This URL will be a series of letters and numbers you copy and paste into OnSIP. Easy On Hold® offers licensed instrumental, vocal, or custom voiceover streams, which are safer and more engaging than unlicensed Shoutcast/Icecast sources.

Add the Stream as a Music Source in OnSIP

In the OnSIP Admin Panel, go to Resources (5th link down the side menu). Click Create New Resource. Select Music Source (music notes icon). Click Create a new Music Source. Paste your Easy On Hold® stream URL into the provided field. Save the resource.

Assign the Stream to Users or Queues

For all users: Go to Users > Call Settings > Edit Info. Under Inbound Call Settings > Music on Hold, select your new Easy On Hold® stream.

For specific queues: In Inbound Call Settings > ACD Queues > Caller Settings, choose your stream. For Conference Suite: In Inbound Call Settings > Conference Suite > Music on Hold, select your stream.

Test and Adjust

Place a test call on hold to confirm the stream is playing. You can change the stream at any time via the Easy On Hold® portal without reconfiguring OnSIP.

Tip: For maximum engagement, combine your music stream with custom voice messages on hold from Easy On Hold® to improve caller experience.

By following these steps, you’ll have a professional, licensed, and always-updating hold music experience for your OnSIP users.
