RingCentral RingCX Hold Music & Queue Messaging

Keep waiting queue music and hold messages current with the Easy On Hold® RingCX App. Schedule the content once and let the app refresh your queues automatically.

More Variety for Callers, Less Manual Work for Your Team

Default music and static audio files can become repetitive, while time-sensitive messages may stay in rotation after they expire. The Easy On Hold® RingCX App connects your RingCX account with the Easy On Hold portal, where you manage the music and messages assigned to each queue.

The app checks which content is eligible, assembles a randomized RingCX-compatible file of up to 10 minutes, and securely uploads it to the associated queue. Set the refresh cadence from hourly to once per day. The RingCX integration uses automated file delivery, rather than a continuous live stream.

  • Schedule topics by start and stop date, day of week, and time of day.
  • Assign a distinct playlist to each queue or share one across queues.
  • Rotate eligible music and messages to reduce repetition.
  • Keep updates in the hands of your content team without routine file uploads by IT.

RingCX Configuration: associate a RingCX queue with the Easy On Hold playlist it should play.

How to Configure the RingCX App

A client administrator in the Easy On Hold portal and a RingCentral administrator authorize the connection. A dedicated RingCentral service user is recommended for continuity.

01

Open the RingCX integration

Sign in to the Easy On Hold portal as a client administrator. Go to Settings > Products > Integrations, browse integrations, and select RingCX.

02

Authorize RingCentral

Select Configure, sign in with a RingCentral administrator account, and authorize the connection. Refresh the portal, open the active RingCX integration, and select Manage.

03

Match queues to playlists

Select + Add Association and pair each RingCX queue with an Easy On Hold playlist. You can give separate departments different audio or use the same playlist in several queues.

04

Schedule content and let it refresh

Set the dates, days, and times for your messages and music in the Easy On Hold portal. The app reevaluates eligible content, randomizes complete audio files, formats the result for RingCX, and refreshes the associated queues automatically.
