The illustration below is a basic diagram of a music on hold input on a PBX/Key phone system for use in music on hold messaging. The music on hold input on a PBX/Digital/Key system is usually located on the main "box". Look for an RCA-type or mini-plug jack labeled MOH. This is where your hold-message player will plug directly in and play continuously. Callers hear the message in progress.
1) Plug in on-hold message player to the AC outlet.
2) Connect the audio cable from the "Output" jack of the digital message player to the MOH input on the main telephone jack. If your telephone system does not have an MOH jack, you may have one provided by a competent telephone technician.
3) Operate the message player according to intstructions.
4) Check audio level and adjust if necessary.
If your phone is not part of a system, you are likely using an analog line (provided by your local telephone company). If this is the case, order the Skutch Adapter made for you phone brand and model. Call Easy On Hold for help locating the correct adapter. This adapter will activate the hold button on your phone, allowing the caller to hear your message, but does not play audio directly. Your hold music message audio plays from an external player, such as our Messager player, into the phones via your Skutch adapter.
1) Plug in the Music On Hold player and Skutch Adapter into an AC outlet. 2) Run your phone line from the wall jack, into the adapter, then into your phone. 3) Connect the audio cable from the Message On Hold Player into the adapter.
